Dr. Susan Eva Porter has worked as a teacher, clinician, trustee and consultant in and to schools across the country and internationally for over 20 years.

Sue began her career as a Health Educator at Phillips Exeter Academy, NH, where she developed, piloted and launched the Academy’s first Health Education curriculum.

After receiving her clinical training, Sue worked as a School Counselor, Health Educator, and Wellness Coordinator in various schools on both the East and West coasts, including the College Preparatory School in Oakland, CA, San Francisco University High School, and the Winsor School in Boston.

In addition to her school-based work and consulting, Sue instructs and supervises graduate students, new teachers, and pre-licensed social work and psychology interns, and most recently was a clinical instructor at the Smith College School for Social Work.

Sue received an A.B. from Brown University, an M.S.Ed. from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.S.W. in clinical social work from Smith College School for Social Work, and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Pacific Graduate Institute.

She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
